The Ardmore, Alabama Town Council met on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. Mayor Eugene Shannon brought meeting to order then opened with prayer.
Urgent Blood Drive Set At Chamber Office
The Ardmore, AL / TN Chamber of Commerce is responding to an urgent need for blood in this area. A Life South Blood Drive will be held at the Chamber of Commerce office in the L & S Shopping Center on Friday, January 12th from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Types A negative and O negative blood are the types needed most.

Girl Scout Cookie Sales Are Underway
Girl Scouts throughout the area are taking orders for Girl Scout Cookies. The annual cookie sale began January 6. Pre-orders will continue through January 22 with delivery slated to begin on February 9.

Building Good Citizenship Through Civitan
The motto of the Ardmore, AL/TN Civitan Club is “Builders of Good Citizenship”. Members of the local Civitan Club work together in the community to help make life better for their neighbors. Local members would like to encourage others to participate in Civitan to help make a difference in our community.

Turner Family Benefit Saturday
The New Fellowship Baptist Church will hold a benefit Saturday, January 13, for Dessie Turner. There will be a singing, cake sale and chicken stew at the church located at 19121 Sandlin Road in Elkmont. Activities will begin at 5 p.m.
