Ardmore’s Lady Tigers Victorious
The Ardmore Lady Tigers outscored their opposition18-3 in the third quarter on the way to a 47-41 win over the Lady Colts at Clements last Friday.
Jennifer Ratley scored six points and Shannon Fogg four in that quarter to allow the Lady Tigers to make a close game, not so close.
The Lady Colts scored the last five points of the game for the final score.
Leading 41-31 with 2:17 remaining, Ardmore was outscored 10-6 the remainder of the contest.
After leading 9-6 after the first eight minutes, Ardmore scored the first seven points of the second quarter. Clements scored the last five points of the second quarter to pull within two, 21-19.
Brittany Miles continued Ardmore’s 11 point unanswered scoring by hitting the opening basket of the fourth quarter. Clements cut Ardmore’s lead to 10, 41-31, after a pair of 3-pointers from Megan Gresham.
Ratley led Ardmore with 15 points while Fogg added 11 and Hailey Drake eight. Landria Curtis scored seven, Aarika Boggs four and Miles two.
The winners had three 3-pointers, two from Fogg and one from Curtis. Clements knocked down five treys, two from Petty, two from Gresham and one from Beggs.
Lacresha Petty finished with 14 and Jordan Beggs 13 for the Colts.
