First National Bank Makes Donation To Softball Program

Continuing their long and outstanding tradition of community service, First National Bank presented the Ardmore High School Softball Program with a sizable donation last week.

AHS Head Softball Coach Mark Thomas accepted the donation on behalf of AHS at a ceremony last Friday.

“We are very thankful to First National Bank for their generosity in support of our program,” said Thomas. “We can use this money to help pay for a number of things we sorely need.”

Thomas went on to say that the money donated by First National Bank will be used to pay for improvements to the softball field and for lighting. He also said that the donation will free up other funds to allow for the purchase of needed equipment and uniforms.

“This donation allows us to use some of the money we raised with our fundraisers,” continued Thomas. “We will be able to purchase much-needed equipment and uniforms. It will also allow us to have money to help offset the cost of tournaments the girls play in.”
