Young Tigers Win Two

The Ardmore Middle School Tiger produced 110 points in a pair of games while limiting their opponents to 65 in wins over Elkton and East Limestone. Last Monday Ardmore traveled to East Limestone and left with a 45-21 win while on Thursday Ardmore turned back Elkton 65-44.

Ardmore 65, Elkton 44

The Ardmore Middle School Tigers exploded for 26 fourth quarter points in their 65-44 win over the visiting Elkton Elks last Thursday.

Two big unanswered scoring runs in the fourth quarter proved the difference for the winners. J. Tribble’s 2-point basket ignited an 8-0 run that saw Wade Riggs score twice and Matt Teeples once along with Riggs. The Tigers led 55-37. Later in that quarter Ardmore hit eight free throws before the Elks could score again.

Riggs led all scorers with 18 points while Tribble tossed in 15. Teeples and Landon Boggs scored eight points each for Ardmore as Michael Fogg had four and Tyler Elliott three. Scoring two points each for the Tigers were Caleb Lindsey and Kyle Hutchinson.

Kadijon Townsend led Elkton with 10 points while Jared Bassham and Logan Phifer each scored seven. Michael Stevenson finished with four points for Elkton while Bobby Melton scored three and Chris Bledsoe two.

Ardmore 45, East Limestone 21

Matt Teeples scored 11 points to lead Ardmore to a 45-21 win at East Limestone last Monday. Nine Middle School Tigers scored in the win as Wade Riggs added eight and J. Tribble six. Landon Boggs scored five for Ardmore, Austin Fogg four, Blake Magnusson, Michael Fogg and Kyle Hutchinson each scored three and Jack Blair two.

Eddrick Malone had six points for the Indians while Michael Mingis and Lamar Williams each scored four.
