Junior Boys Win Two by Perry Lewter Madison County and Columbia are the latest victims of the Ardmore Tiger Junior boys team. The Tigers defeated Madison County 40-20 last Tuesday and picked up a 61-46 win at Columbia last Friday. Ardmore 61, Columbia 46 Jumping to a 10-2 lead after one quarter the Ardmore Junior Tigers cruised to a 61-46 win in Huntsville Friday. Jeffery Boyce scored five of his team’s15 points in the opening period. Clay Wales scored seven of his 13 points in the second quarter for the winners. Matthew Smith had 11 of his 18 points in the third quarter for the winners. Boyce and Smith scored six points apiece in the 23-point fourth quarter. Jonathan Shannon added seven points for Ardmore while Jake Marlow scored four, Matt Lannom two and Zane Hambay one. Ardmore 40, Madison County 24 Allowing just four 2-pointers in the first two quarter Ardmore ran past Madison County 40-24 last Tuesday. Jeffery Boyce led the winners with 10 points. Jake Marlow and Matthew Smith each added eight for Ardmore. Matt Lannom and Clay Wales scored six points each and Zane Hambay two. Lannom had the only 3-pointer of the game for the Tigers. |
