Mable Hill Baptist Church will host a blood drive for the American Red Cross Saturday, January 27, from 10 am to 3:30 pm in the church’s fellowship hall. Mable Baptist Church is located a quarter mile east of Hwy. 53 at 3778 Ready Section Rd. All donors will receive a free T-shirt and will have a chance to win a free Holland American Cruise and two free domestic tickets with Delta Air Lines.

All donors are asked to bring a photo ID for your own protection.

To donate blood the person must be 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health (no restrictions or limitations to everyday activities), and have not donated blood in the past eight weeks.

Eat and drink well before donating. Stay well hydrated with decaffeinated drinks and water.

If you have been deferred for a low iron count, eat raisins, whole grains, red meat, or leafy green vegetables.

Mable Hill Baptist welcomes everyone to this blood drive, and with over 700 donations needed daily, just in the Gulf Coast Region, the donations of our small town will save numerous lives.
