MS Tigers Beat ABS

Ardmore advanced to the semifinals of the Limestone County Tournament with a 46-15 win over Athens Bible School Saturday. The Tigers, the No. 2 seed, were scheduled to face Elkmont Tuesday in a 4 p.m. contest. A win over Elkmont would put Ardmore in the championship game at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Ardmore scored the first eight points in Saturday’s win. The Tigers led by 10, 16-6, before scoring six unanswered points. Joseph Murray’s 2-pointer for ABS ended the first half scoring. Ardmore led 22-8.

But the third quarter was the Tigers’ best. Ardmore scored the last 10 points of that period to lead 27-14.

In the fourth quarter the Trojans had just one point, a free throw from Jordan Brewer.

J Tribble led the winners with nine points as Matt Teeples scored eight and Landon Boggs and Wade Riggs scored six points each. Caleb Lindsey scored five for the Tigers as Tyler Elliott finished with four. Scoring two points apiece for the winners were Logan Underwood, Blake Magnusson and Kyle Hutchinson.

Brewer led the Trojans with seven points while K. R Hinkle scored four. Scoring two points for Athens Bible School were Murray and Will King.
