Limestone County Robotics Teachers Are Recognized
Many area residents may be unaware that a unique and fascinating robotics program is underway at the Limestone County Career Technical Center High School, located in Athens. A handful of dedicated volunteers and instructors have given much time, energy and effort to make the FIRST Robotics Team #34 a success.

Fralix Elkton's Newest Alderman
Former alderman David Fralix was the unanimous choice to fill the unexpired term of Sam Turner at Thursday's meeting of the Elkton Board of Mayor and Aldermen.

AHS Awarded All-Academic Trophy
Ardmore High School continued its tradition for being recognized as an institution that offers high-quality education to its students by receiving yet another award last week. The school was awarded the Limestone County All-Academic Trophy for the fourth time in the last six years.

Ardmore Industrial Board Selects New Officers
The City of Ardmore, TN Industrial Board held a public meeting at 8 AM on Monday, January 23 at the City Hall Annex. The purpose of the meeting was to elect new officers and ratify the actions taken at a previous meeting, held on December 21, 2005.

Tigers Fall At Tanner
A second quarter characterized by cold shooting and turnovers proved difficult to overcome for the Ardmore Tigers last Friday night on the road at Tanner. Trailing by seven, 19-12, heading into the second stanza, the Tigers could only muster seven points on offense before the half and went on to fall to the Rattlers by a score of 65-54.
Lady Bulldogs Undefeated; Regular Season Champs
Blanche School's Girls' Basketball Team went into the 2005-06 season with the feeling that they were much improved over last year's squad. No one expected that they would be this improved.
Jr. Lady Tigers Advance To Tournament Semi-Finals
Ardmore High School's Junior Varsity Girls' Basketball Team rode a strong first half to an impressive 38-17 win over Clements in opening round action of the Limestone County Basketball Tournament, which began last Saturday at Elkmont High School.

Junior Tigers Down West In Tourney
James Teeples had a big game Saturday afternoon and it couldn't have come at a better time for the Ardmore High School Junior Varsity Boys' Basketball Team. Teeples put up 23 points to pace the Junior Tigers to an impressive 51-38 win over the West Limestone Junior Wildcats in quarter-final action at the Limestone County Basketball Tournament, held at Elkmont High School.

Lady Tigers Fall To Lady Indians
East Limestone's Lady Indian Varsity Basketball Team pulled out to an early lead last Tuesday night and held off a strong surge by Ardmore to take an important area contest by the score of 68-55. The loss dropped the Lady Tigers' season mark to 5-15.
Martin Homecoming Tips Off Friday
Martin Methodist College in Pulaski will hold its 2006 Homecoming Weekend this Friday and Saturday, January 27-28. Many activities are slated and the public is encouraged to attend.

Booster Club Baseball Sign Ups Begin February 4
Area parents are advised that the Ardmore Booster Club will begin holding sign ups for the upcoming baseball season beginning on February 4th. Sign ups will be held in the lunchroom at Cedar Hill Elementary School.
