FNB Announces New Community
Board Members

First National Bank’s Ardmore Community Board met in January for their quarterly meeting with four new members for 2007. Joining the board this year are Scotty Faulk, J.B. Turner, Jr., Lee King and John Smith. They join other board members Nick Holland, John Curtis, Willard Whitt, Wade Boggs, Gearil Smith, Jimmy Butler, and Thomas Rochelle.

First National Bank’s Ardmore Community Board dates back to 1963 when a group of local businessmen in the Ardmore community made the decision to petition First National Bank of Pulaski to build a bank in their community. Much careful consideration was given to this request and a short time later the dream was realized.

The late Glen “Turk” Magnusson was one of those men and became one of the founding members of the Bank’s first community board organized in 1988.

Mark Hayes said, “This is the first time that this board has met without Turk on board. We lost a good friend and great supporter of our Bank in November last year. First National Bank will indeed miss Mr. Magnusson.”

The Ardmore Community Board is made up of business leaders who represent the community. Board members discuss with bank representatives how the bank can serve the current needs of their customers and prepare to meet the needs of the growing community in the future.

“These men are “goodwill ambassadors” for First National Bank and are greatly appreciated,” says Jimmy Cox, Chairman of the Board for First National Bank. “They play an important role for our team and we count on them for community leadership as we continue to serve Ardmore and the surrounding area.”
