Ardmore High School Hosts Internet Safety Program
An i-Parent Program on Internet safety will be
held Thursday, February 23, in the library at Ardmore
High School. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will last
approximately one hour.
Ardmore, TN Approves Land Purchase On Main Street
The City of Ardmore, TN Board of Mayor and
Aldermen, meeting in scheduled session last Thursday night, voted
to purchase a 1.2 acre tract of land located at 25844 Main
Street. The purchase price of the land was reported to be $110,000.

Elkton Spelling Bee Winners Recognized
Winners of a recent spelling bee, held at Elkton School,
were recognized last week for their hard work, dedication and
spelling prowess. The spelling bee featured students from
third through eighth grades.

City Board Recognizes Jeanette Rich
Jeanette Rich, long-time Executive Director of the Ardmore, AL/TN Chamber of Commerce has done much to make Ardmore a better place to live. Rich announced her resignation last week and the City of Ardmore, TN Board of Mayor and Aldermen, meeting in scheduled session last Thursday night, unanimously passed a resolution recognizing Rich for her many contributions to the community. |

Main Street Turn Lane A Go
Street Superintendent Terry Barkley has announced
that bids have been let for the long-awaited project that would
extend the turn lane on Main Street, leading up to the
intersection with Ardmore Avenue.

Lady Tigers Overpower West Morgan
Ardmore High School's Varsity Girls' Basketball
Team took to the hardwood with determination last
Friday night, hoping to notch a win over the Lady Rebels of
West Morgan for the second time this season.

Tigers Nip Rebels In Cliff Hanger
In a battle of evenly matched basketball teams, the Ardmore Tigers
played four quarters of spirited basketball last Friday night
and came away with a thrilling 52-50 win over the
visiting West Morgan Rebels.

Sara Jo Taylor Wins County Spirit Award
Supporters of Ardmore High School basketball
are quite familiar with the name of Sara Jo Taylor.
The standout senior is a main cog in the Lady Tiger offense
and her tenacity and stubbornness on defense have
made her a perennial All-County player.

Ken Adams Resigns As Tiger Head Football Coach
Ken Adams has announced his resignation as Head Football Coach
at Ardmore High School after one season at the
helm. Adams cited personal reasons, particularly the need
to be closer to his family as the primary factor in making
his decision to leave.

Area Tourney Schedule Set
Ardmore High School's Boys' and Girls' Varsity
Basketball Teams will swing into action during the next
two days, competing in the Class 4A, Area 15
Tournament. Both teams are entering the action with a positive
attitude and hopes of doing well.

With spring training just around the corner, I thought it might be interesting to take a look at how the season may be shaping up for the Atlanta Braves. After all, most fans in this neck of the woods root for the Braves through thick and thin.
