Limestone Co. Pre-K Registration Deadline Set
The Limestone County School District recently announced that the deadline to register for the 4-Year-Old Pre-Kindergarten Program for 2007-2008 is March 23.


Ardmore Masonic Lodge Bean Day Set Wed., March 7th
The Ardmore Masonic Lodge will host Bean Day Wednesday, March 7, at the First National Bank Community Room. Lodge members will be serving up beans and all the fixin’s from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.



The Cavaliers In Concert March 11th
The music ministry of Piney Grove Baptist Church will host The Cavaliers in concert Sunday, March 11. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the church located at 28430 Pinedale Road in Ardmore.


Tiger Band Auction To Benefit D.C. Trip
The award winning Ardmore Tiger Band will host its 19th Annual Band Boosters Benefit Auction. The auction will be held Saturday, March 3rd at 6 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. The auction is another fundraiser for the band members who will be attending the scheduled trip to our Nation’s Capital on Wednesday, April 18th.


Elkmont Beauty Walk This Weekend
The Elkmont High School new gym will be the site of the 2nd Annual Red Carpet Affair Beauty Walk this Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3.



Harvell Named VFW “Teacher Of The Year”
Mrs. Julia Harvell, fifth grade teacher at Harvest Elementary School, was recently awarded the prestigious Veterans of Foreign Wars “Teacher of the Year” award. This award is presented annually to teachers in the elementary, middle school and high school categories. Entries are submitted by various schools in each category and are judged based on some strict criteria.




Tigers Stop Red Devils
The Ardmore Tiger baseball teams stopped the Elkmont Red Devils 10-6 in a come-from-behind win at East Limestone Saturday in a preseason tournament.


Familiar Faces In Final Four
The Tanner boys and girls and the Madison County boys all advanced to this week’s state tournament in Birmingham by winning their respective regional championships.


Blanche Gridiron Club Spring Jamboree Set
The Second Annual Blanche Gridiron Club Spring Jamboree will be held Tuesday and Thursday, March 6th and 8th on the Jim Cooper Field at Blanche School.


Tigers’ Soccer Team Wins Two
The Ardmore High School varsity soccer team improved their season mark to 2-1 last week by defeating New Hope and West Limestone.


Matt Brewer Wins Medal In Atlanta
Matt Brewer of Elkwood Village in Bobo, AL competed in the Figure Skating event with the Special Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia on January 18 and 19. Brewer won his third place medal by performing a James Bond routine for the judges.


Lady Tigers Win One
Emily Gabe scored the lone goal when the Ardmore Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Indians of New Hope 1-0 last Thursday.
