Limestone Co. Pre-K
Registration Deadline Set

The Limestone County School District recently announced that the deadline to register for the 4-Year-Old Pre-Kindergarten Program for 2007-2008 is March 23.

The program operates in collaboration with the Office of School Readiness (OSR) and is partially funded through a grant. A fee of $25.00 will be charged to cover the remaining expenses. Eighteen (18) 4-year-old students will be accepted into this program. All 4-year-old children living in the Limestone County School District are eligible to register. Transportation must be provided by the parent or guardian. After registration, 18 children will be selected through a random drawing and parents will be notified.

The pre-school will offer a full day program with a nurturing, safe and fun-filled educational environment for young children. Pre-kindergarten skills will be taught through the age-appropriate Creative Curriculum based on exploration through a variety of learning centers. The daily schedule for the pre-school program will foster experiences that enhance the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. OSR will evaluate the program throughout the year to ensure it meets the guidelines set forth by the National Association of the Education of Young Children and the Alabama Pre-K Performance Standards.
