Douglas Wayne Powers

Douglas Wayne Powers, 71, of Hamlett Street, Ardmore, TN, died Thursday, February 22, 2007, at his residence.

A private funeral service will be held. Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Douglas Wayne Powers was born August 6, 1935 in Ragsdale Creek, TN, to Effie Powers. He lived all his life in this area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Powers.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Frances Christmas of Arkansas; two sons, Jeffrey Wayne Powers of Arkansas and Steven Douglas Powers of Ardmore, TN; and two grandchildren.

Glen Marshall Foster

Glen Marshall Foster, 70, died Monday, February 26, 2007, from cancer in Morrisonville, NY.

Funeral services will be held in Platsburg, NY.

Glen Marshall Foster was born July 9, 1936. He lived in Ardmore until he joined the service. After retiring from the military, he resided in New York until his death. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Irene (Hogan) Foster and his father, William Frank Foster.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Loretta; two sons, Mark and Rose Foster, Mike and Natalie Foster; a daughter, Michelle and Lyle Cartier; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two brothers, Jim Dalton Foster and John Lary Foster; and a sister, Mary Modena Toole.

Rickey Lynn Wray

Rickey Lynn Wray, 44, of Elkmont, AL, died Sunday, February 25, 2007, at his residence.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 28, at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Jeff Drake officiating. Burial will be in the Pettusville Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.

Rickey Lynn Wray was born July 1, 1962, in Limestone County, AL. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Ardmore, TN, and retired from the City of Huntsville. Survivors include his girlfriend, Delores (Dee) Hardy of Elkmont, AL; his mother, Virginia Beatrice Wray of Elkmont, AL; daughter, Niki Cantrell of Huntsville, AL; brothers, Randy Wray of Ardmore, AL, Tommy Wray of Elkmont, AL, and David (Pete) Wray of Prospect, TN; sisters, Barbara Lewis of Athens, AL, Jane Koger of Ardmore, AL, Alice McNatt of Athens, AL, Judy VanHoozer of Ardmore, AL, Linda Crow of Muscle Shoals, AL, Alberta Stone of Hackleburg, AL, Elizabeth Ann (Sister) Strange of Ardmore, AL; granddaughter, Emma Faith Cantrell of Huntsville, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
