Ardmore Masonic Lodge Bean Lunch Planned Today
The Ardmore Masonic Lodge No.24 will host a delicious Bean Lunch today at the First National Bank Community Room.
City Of Ardmore Approves TN Park Grant Application
The City of Ardmore, TN Board of Mayor and
Aldermen, meeting in a called session on Saturday, February 25,
unanimously approved a resolution, authorizing Mayor
Bobby Hastings to submit a grant application for improvements
at John Barnes Park.
Blanche School Kicks Off Read Across America `06
Blanche School held a special contest last Friday afternoon, formally kicking off the school's Read Across America Program. The program, designed to foster and develop interest in reading among children, is taking place at the school all this week.

Powers To Be Honored Upon Retirement
The congregation of the First Baptist Church, Ardmore, will honor RC Powers Sunday, March 5, upon his retirement as music minister of the church. The service will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Special guests for the evening will be the former Carpenter's Tools choir members. RC has worked in the music department of the church since 1972 and has served as the music minister of First Baptist Church since 1977. |

Cedar Hill Students Set Fundraising Record
Students from Cedar Hill Elementary School went the extra mile during the month of February, raising a school record $3,100 for the American Heart Association. The activity was a part of the association's annual "Jump Rope for Heart" program. In a gesture of community spirit and goodwill, the students collected the funds in honor of Rickey Michael, who died of a heart attack on December 4, 2005.. |

Blanche Bulldogs Hold Spring Practice
Blanche School's Bulldog Football Team is not
taking it's 2005 season success for granted. Head Coach
Scott Woodfin has had the Bulldogs on the field for the
past two weeks, putting the players through their paces as
a part of annual spring practice.

Walker's Tigers Working On Basics
The Ardmore High School Varsity Baseball Team
has been practicing hard, tuning up for the regular
season opening game against at Priceville on Saturday.
New Head Coach Lee Walker has been stressing
fundamentals with the squad, working hard to put the Tigers in a
position where they don't beat themselves with mental errors.

on Thursday, March 9 as the Jim Cooper Spring
Jamboree kicks off at 4 PM.
Junior Tigers Gearing Up For 2006 Regular Season
Ardmore High School Head Baseball Coach Lee
Walker and Assistant Coach Scott Gafford have been busy
preparing the Junior Varsity Baseball Team for its 2006
season home opener against Elkmont.

Tigers Top Priceville In Late Inning Rally
Ardmore High School's Varsity Baseball Team displayed grit plus a
never-say-die attitude Monday night, coming from behind twice
to eventually take a 5-4 win over Priceville in
pre-season tournament action at East Limestone.

Talkin' Baseball
In each of the past four seasons, the Oakland
Athletics have followed a similar pattern, getting off to a
slow start, gradually improving by midseason, and going on
a tear in August to put them in the thick of the
pennant chase in the American League West.
