Kim lived in the Waco community on Fry Branch Road until 2001, when she married Aubrey Tycer. Kim moved to Aubrey's family farm on Pleasant Valley Road where they are raising four children. After graduation from high school, Whitney enrolled in Tennessee Tech as an engineering student, and Parker is a private in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. Hannah and Jordan are students at Richland where they play in the band. The Tycer family is active in the Church of Messiah _ Episcopal in Pulaski, where Kim is a member of the Vestry and Hannah and Jordan participate in the Episcopal Youth Group. Kim's mother, Yvonne Barbano, is the former director of the Giles County Help Center and is currently a resident of NHC in Pulaski. Aubrey and Kim are the owners of Spring Valley Farm, where they operate a cow/calf and horse breeding farm. Spring Valley Farm raises registered Gelbvieh beef cattle and registered sport horses. Aubrey and Kim are avid trail riders and fox hunters, and both enjoy riding with Mells Fox Hounds. Kim is active in Giles County civic organizations. She is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Giles County, the Tennessee Cattleman's Association, the Magazine Club and the Giles County Historical Society. Kim serves on the board of directors of the Giles County Child Development Center and is a member of the Pulaski Bar Association. The campaign headquarters will be opening in Pulaski in April.
