We sure did have a mild winter, unless it is still to come. The wind is still a bit sharp but tolerable. Shrubs and flowers are busy putting out green. I have a patch of crocus blooming blue. Our flowering quince bush has red blooms all over it. The daffodils and buttercups are busy blooming, too. The trees are budding, and the Bradford pears are blooming. Some have started gardening with their cabbage, onions, and potatoes. It won't be long till the lawns will start requiring regular attention.

My son, Robert Lee, is doing fine after his recent doctor visits. To all on the sick lists, I hope you feel better soon, so you can enjoy that warm sunshine.

German Town Cemetery Supper and Annual meeting was the second Friday in March (March 10), at the Oak Grove Community Clubhouse at 6:00 p.m. It was reported the cemetery had obtained enough property to expand, adding approximately 36 gravesites, however 21 had sold during the last year leaving a balance of 33 available. The price per gravesite will remain the same at $150 per site. Marvin Ruff was elected to serve another three-year term as a trustee, along with other trustees on the board Lewis Sammett and Sonny Zirbel. Trustees serve a three-year term. The terms are staggered and one trustee is replaced or re-elected each year as their term expires.
