Falcons Defeat Bobcats

Lincoln County High School's baseball team opened its 2006 season last week with an impressive 7-1 victory over visiting Giles County.

The Falcons' offense was paced by the bat of Matt King, who went 3-for-4 at the plate. Teammates Erick Oxley and D.J. Boggs added doubles while Derrick Douglas, Cody Gaskill and Jonathan Reese pounded out singles.

Blake Sharp picked up the pitching win for the Falcons, hurling six strong innings.
