held Friday, March 31 and featured contestants in grades K-5 from Cedar Hill Elementary and Johnson Elementary. Britney Brooks and Lacey Sanderson hosted the Tiger Preschool competitions on Saturday. Competitions for the preschool contestants included three divisions for girls ages 0-5 years. The AHS Beauty Walks for the middle school and high school competitions were on Saturday, April 1, with Lacey Sanderson, Erin Cornelison, and Yancy Mitchell hosting. Special entertainment was provided both evenings by Katie Roberts and Lee Hodges. Katie is the daughter of Kenny Roberts and Jackie Shannon Hodges. Lee is the son of Jeff Hodges and Karen Tucker. Pageant directors were Dana Clem, Lucrecia Davis, and Yancy Mitchell. The Burch & Hatfield Prom Preview and Dream Date Contest was an added attraction to the Saturday evening crowd. Following a vote of the high school girls, Colby Phillips was named 2006 Dream Date with Jake Lewis finishing second. Other finalists included, Billy Cantrell, Matthew Clem, Chase Davis, Josh Ford, Danny Glover, and Landon Taylor. In addition to a commemorative plaque from North Alabama Engraving, Colby received a prize package from Burch & Hatfield that includes free tuxedo rental for prom. Madison Rudolph was crowned Miss Ardmore Middle School. Sarah Roberts was named first alternate, with Bailey Brooks finishing second alternate. Third alternate was Lindsey Blackwell followed by Keziah Morrow, fourth alternate. Photogenic winner was Chelsea Murphy. The remaining semifinalists included: Ashlee Beck, Tiffany Cornelison, Ashley Cummings, Elizabeth Hodges, Erica McMunn, Dagan Morrow, and Kelsey Norman. Stephanie Allen won the Miss Ardmore Elementary crown. Paige Hargrove was named first alternate. Shelby Forshey was named second alternate, followed by Kaitlyn Moore, third alternate and photogenic winner, and Anna Barkley, fourth alternate. The new Jr. Miss Elementary is Jewel Jones. First alternate was McKala Lucky. Savannah Emerson was second alternate. Savanna Whitt was third alternate, followed by Amber Buchanan, fourth alternate. Elissa Clark won the photogenic award. Little Miss Elementary 2006 is Julia Bailey. Jada Bailey was first alternate with Robin Allen finishing second alternate. Abby Holland was third alternate, followed by Sydney Whitt, fourth alternate. Allie Clark won the photogenic award. Miss Tiger Preschool is four-year-old Delaine Tucker. First alternate is Olivia Grace Martindale, followed by second alternate Sidney Duggar. Third alternate was Caitlyn Nichols, and fourth alternate and photogenic winner was Erica Gatlin. Sarah Grace Moore won the Miss Tiger Cub crown. Breanna Haislip was named first alternate followed by Avery Tucker as second alternate. Third alternate was Brailee Christian. Lacey Reyer was named fourth alternate and photogenic winner. Miss Tiny Tiger is Saige Elkins. Gerdi Martindale was named first alternate. Emma Jas Prier was second alternate. Third alternate was Kylie Jewel Clark with Tara Brooke Hobbs taking fourth alternate honors. Photogenic winner was Bailey Paige Davis. Reigning AHS queens who were present to crown their successors during the days of competition included: Miss Ardmore High School Lacey Sanderson, Miss Ardmore Middle School Autumn McMunn, Miss Cedar Hill Elementary Sydney Randall, Junior Miss Cedar Hill JoVanna Rodriguez, and Little Miss Cedar Hill McKenzie Ashmore. |
