4th Annual Blanche School
Athletic Auction Saturday

Blanche School's Athletic Department is preparing for the 4th Annual Blanche Athletic Program Benefit Auction. The event will be held this coming Saturday, April 8, at 5 PM in the Blanche School gym.

This year's auction is a special one, with many great items up for bid. A racing 4-wheeler will be included in the auction, along with unique wooden footballs, quilts, homemade cakes and pies and much more.

A special attraction to this year's auction is the availability of many original, authentic NASCAR items and memorabilia. NASCAR items up for bid include: numerous autographed caps from such luminaries as Dale Jarrett, Richard Petty, Travis Kvapil, Carl Edwards, Jimmy Johnson and Tony Stewart.

Autographed hero cards from numerous NASCAR legends will also be up for bid.

Other miscellaneous NASCAR items to be auctioned off include: an autographed Kyle Busch Frosted Flakes box; an autographed Clint Bowyer AC Delco car flag; and Richard Childress' Racing GM Goodwrench authentic track crew shirt.

A number of NASCAR DVDs and images will also be available, including two Gary Hill prints.

The proceeds from the auction will go toward purchasing equipment and supplies for student athletes at Blanche School.

"Participation in athletics and other activities raises morale and helps to build life skills," said Bulldog Head Football Coach Scott Woodfin. "Blanche athletics sets high standards for our student athletes on the field of play and in the classroom. I would personally like to thank everyone who has participated in supporting our athletic programs at Blanche. We couldn't take the field without your help."

Registration and viewing begins at 5 PM. Bidders must be 18 years or older to register. A silent auction will also begin at 5 PM. Fowler Auction and Real Estate will conduct the auction.

A concession stand will be open, beginning at 5 PM.
