Roll Past East Lawrence

The Junior Varsity Lady Tigers Softball Team picked up a big win last Thursday, as they rolled past East Lawrence 6-1. Ardmore racked up eight hits, while holding East Lawrence to one.

Ardmore took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning of play when Callie Steadman hit a triple and scored on a single by Kelsey Turner. East Lawrence tied the game in the top of the second after a batter reached base on an error and scored on a double. Ardmore went on to score five unanswered runs.

Steadman led the Lady Tigers in hits with a triple and two singles. Turner followed, rounding up two singles. Other hitters for Ardmore were Brittney Brown, Emily Faulkner, and Nikki Clark with a single each.

Kelsey Gilbert picked up the pitching win for Ardmore, striking out nine batters, walking two, and only permitting one hit. Callie Steadman served as catcher.
