Joe Edward Lewis Joe Edward Lewis, 70, of Elk Street, Ardmore, TN, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, at 1 p.m. at Mundy’s Funeral home in Clarkrange, TN, with Bro. Thurman Young officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Grimsley, TN with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements. Joe was born June 22, 1936 to Stanton David and Lou Neil Davis Lewis in Davidson, TN. He has lived the past 25 years in Ardmore, TN, coming from Clarkrange, TN. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thomas William and Stanton David, Jr., and an infant daughter. Survivors include his wife, Carol Lewis of Ardmore, TN; sons, Roger (Margaret) Lewis of Clarkrange, TN, Tommy (Denise) Lewis of Holiday, TN, Keith (Tracy) Lewis of Hazel Green, AL, Michael Miller of Knoxville, TN, and Kevin Lewis of Ardmore, TN; daughters, Anita (Steve) Bass of Knoxville, TN, Juanita (Scott) Smith of Crossville, TN, Joan (Joe) Woody of Crossville, TN, and Amanda (Brian) Smith of Athens, AL; brothers, Steve (Linda) Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN, Dewey (Grace) Lewis of Prospect, TN; sisters, Imogean Sweat of Hendersonville, TN, Winnie (Richard) Eastep of Fairboro, OH; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Strawberry Beddingfield, Chris Bevels, Joe Woody, Scott Smith, Tommy Lewis, Joey Lewis, Ronnie Lewis and Steve Bass. Wilonese Bryan Prescott Wilonese Bryan Prescott, 81, of Athens, AL, died March 28, 2007. Funeral services were held Friday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Limestone Memorial Gardens in Athens with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include daughters, Sharon Joy Barrett and Brenda Gail Greene both of Elkmont, AL; sons, John Kent Prescott of Commerce, GA, Paul Bryan Prescott of McEwen, TN, Stephen Lee Prescott of Nashville, TN, and James Noel Prescott of McEwen, TN; brothers, Charles Aubrey Bryan and David Marion Bryan both of Mobile, AL; sister, Louise Cowen of Mobile, AL; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Esma Broadway Hardiman Esma Broadway Hardiman, 94, of Hardiman Lane, Elkmont, AL, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. Funeral services were held Friday, April 6, at 2 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Willie Earl and Bro. John Walker officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Hardiman was born October 30, 1912 to Kirby and Isa Mae Wales Broadway in Limestone County, AL. She lived all of her life in the same area where she was born. She was a homemaker and a member of Boyd’s Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hardiman, her parents, and a brother, Vanal Broadway. Survivors include a sister, Christine Thornton of Florence, AL; nieces, Anita Franks of Dublin, GA, Sara Owens of Meridianville, AL, and Vicki Broadway of Huntsville, AL; nephew, Billy Broadway of Athens, AL. |
