Kriston "Lu Lu" Morell

Kriston "Lu Lu" Morell, 14, of Sterling Road, Ardmore, AL, died Monday, April 10, 2006, in Huntsville, AL.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 13, at 4:00 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harry Lincoln officiating. Burial will be in the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Kriston Geraldine Morell was born November 13, 1991 in Athens, AL, to Samuel Franklin Morell and Sharon Eileen Loveday Morell. She lived all her life in the Ardmore area. She was a member of Sweet Springs Baptist Church. Kriston was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nancy Malone Strong and Walter Marion Loveday, Dorcus Smith Morell and Homer Morell.

Survivors include her parents, Samuel Franklin "Franky" Morell and Sharon Loveday Morell of Ardmore, AL; grandparents, Robert and Lisa Strong of Toney, AL; one brother, Brandon Scott Dunnavant of Lynnville, TN; and a host of cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were Robert Stone, Johnny Lawrence, Roger Morell, Bryan Morell, Chris Morell, Anthony Gali, David Gali, Jason "Gump" Loveday, and Kenneth Strong.


Ima Belle Fogg

Ima Belle Fogg, 86, of Alabama Highway 251, Ardmore, AL, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital, Athens, AL.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Boyles, Rev. Bill Chester and Ken Barnett officiating. Burial was in the Hatchett Cemetery in the Wooley Springs Community with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Ima Belle Folds was born August 2, 1919 in Hanceville, AL, to Carlton Folds and Pearlie Belle Absher Folds. She lived in Limestone County since she was 17. She was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Fogg was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie Barnett, and a grandson, Rickey Michael.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Thomas Fogg of Ardmore, AL; one son, Raymond Douglas (Sue) Fogg of Ardmore, AL; one daughter, Dortha Michael of Ardmore, AL; six grandchildren, Darlene Haney, Ken Barnett, Sherry Browning, Tim Fogg, Tony Fogg and Tammy Smith; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their spouses.


R.L. Fogg, Jr.

Raymond L. Fogg, Jr., 82, of Memphis, TN, died Monday, March 22, 2006, in Mesa, AZ.

Burial was in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ, on April 5.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 15, at 1:30 p.m. at Wooley Springs Baptist Church on Highway 251 in Toney, AL.

Born in Athens, AL, Mr. Fogg was a Memphian for the past 61 years. He was a retired machinist for International Harvest, a longtime member and deacon of Raleigh Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond L. and Vanella Fogg.

R.L. is survived by his wife, Lelia Triplett Fogg, a son, Stanley Ray Fogg; two grandchildren, Shelley Rae Fogg, Aaron P. Fogg; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas Fogg, Rudolph Fogg, Max Fogg and Lavon Fogg.


Altie Mae "Nanny" Carter

Altie Mae "Nanny" Carter, 81, of Toney, AL, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at her daughter's home in Hazel Green, AL.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 3, at Spry Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Fincher and Rev. Don Hillis officiating. Burial was in the Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green, AL with Spry Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Carter lived the last three years at Presbyterian Apartments in Huntsville. She retired from P.R. Mallory Capacitor Co. in 1982 after 27 years of employment. She was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Francis M. Carter; father, Jesse Hughes; mother, Myrtie Hughes; brother, Oliver Hughes, and sisters, Irene Williamson and Ruby Wallace.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Pigg and husband Bobby, Pamela Carter and husband Don, and Kathy Kelly and husband Jackie; one brother, Leonard Hughes and wife Evelyn; two stepsons, Donald Francis Carter and James Gordon Carter; five grandchildren, Gregory Pigg, Gina Hartzell, Shannon Rogers, Shaun Carter, and Jason Kelly; five great-grandchildren, Mitchell Hartzell, Breanne and Dalton Carter, Austin and Briley Rogers.

Pallbearers were Larry Nix, Bobby Jack Perry, Bobby Lester, Don Baker, Russ Maddox and Harry Brooks.


Estelle Minatree

Estelle Minatree, 68, of Baugh Road, Ardmore, TN, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at Hillside Hospital, Pulaski, TN.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 9, at 4:30 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Rayburn and Bro. Anthony Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery in Elkmont, AL, with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Estelle was born December 5, 1937 in Elkmont, AL, to William Tyler and Mary Golia Taylor Tyler. She lived all her life in this area. She was a member of Elkwood Baptist Church in Elkmont, AL. Mrs. Minatree was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Minatree, and a son, Mark Dewayne Hargrove.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Gary) Martin and Annette Dugger, both of Ardmore, AL; two brothers, William Tyler, Jr. of Athens, AL, and Joseph "Pandy" Tyler of Elkmont, AL; three sisters, Margaret Harbin of Elkmont, AL, Alice Gowan of Pulaski, TN, and Patricia Holley of Elkton, TN; four grandchildren, Kasie Dugger, Lance (Nicole) Martin, Tiffany Martin (Robert) Cornelison, Chad Martin and fiancée Kim Daniel, all of Ardmore.

Pallbearers were Randall Tyler, Jeremy Perry, Jamie Perry, matt Mason, Seth Mason, and Bubba Gowan.


Weldon C. Ables

Weldon Clayton Ables, 73, of Hopson Road, Flintville, TN, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Hovis officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Ables was born to William Roy Ables and Vinnie Viola Jones Ables on April 14, 1932 in Ardmore, AL. He has lived in this area for nine years after having lived in Chicago, IL. He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Barnett Ables of Flintville, TN; one son, Jimmie Wayne Ables of Bonifay, FL; daughters, Sandra Marshall of Spring Hill, FL, Shirley Geissia of Destin, FL, Frances Gunigan of Century, FL, Carolyn Hersman of Saint Cloud, FL; brothers, Wilburn Ables of Ardmore, TN, Flenoy Ables of Toney, AL, Paul Ables of Taft, TN, Eugene Ables of Toney, AL; sisters, Marie White of Hazel Green, AL, Peggy Richardson of Taft, TN, and Mary Lou Fowler of Winter Haven, FL; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Hovis, Lee Brazelton, Ronald Ables, Bobby Ables, Anthoney Ables, and Houston Cagles.


James Junior "June" Sims

James Junior "June" Sims, 62, of Fayetteville, TN, formerly of Elkmont, AL, died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at SunBridge Nursing Home, Fayetteville, TN.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glen Kennon officiating. Burial was in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore, AL, with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

James was born January 27, 1944 in Elkmont, AL, to James Noel Sims Sr. and Mary Rebecca Eaves Sims. He lived all his life in the Elkmont area and was of the Church of Christ faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dwight Sims.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Jones of Pulaski, TN; three sisters, Joyce Powers, Mary Elizabeth Brock and Margie Sue Ward, all of Elkmont, AL.
