Thomas Wayne Fortenberry Thomas Wayne Fortenberry, 62, of East Madison Street, Pulaski, TN, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at his home. Graveside funeral services were held Friday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at Elkton Cemetery in Elkton, TN, with Rev. Dale Myers officiating. Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Thomas Wayne Fortenberry was born January 28, 1945 in Elkton, TN, to Thomas Conrad Fortenberry and Lucille McFarland Fortenberry. He lived most of his life in this area. He was a veteran of the Air Force and a member of Richland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a son, Thomas Wayne Fortenberry, Jr. of Ft. Hood, TX; a daughter, Jennifer (Douglas) Springer of Travis Air Force Base, CA; a grandson, Douglas Allen Springer, III of Travis Air Force Base, CA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jerry L. Harper, Sr. Jerry L. Harper, Sr., 64, of Martin, TN, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at Martin Health Care in Martin, TN. Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, at 1 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Beale and Mr. Chris Harris officiating. Burial was in the East Side Cemetery in Martin with Murphy Funeral Home in charge. Jerry L. Harper, Sr. was born December 3, 1942. He was the owner and operator of Harper’s Wrecker Service with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Elzada Holder Harper. Survivors include his wife, Doris Hodges Harper of Martin, TN; son, Lynn Harper of Martin, TN; sisters, Sherry Wilson and Shelia Oakley both of Waverly, TN. Pallbearers were Phil McCoy, Harold Bland, Iral Loar, Herschel Knox, Ryan Irvan and Joel Griffith. CW4 (R) Robert Lee Wylie CW4 (R) Robert Lee Wylie of Ardmore, AL, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at his home. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 20, at 3 p.m. at the Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time. Robert was born July 3, 1956, in Cherryville, NC. He entered the US Army in November of 1978 and served with distinction as an Apache Test Pilot and maintenance examiner. His contributions and advancements of Apache maintenance and logistical operations earned him the coveted honor of being named “Army Aviation Association of America Aviator of the Year” in 1995, a distinction normally bestowed upon astronauts and experimental test pilots. CW4 (R) Wylie was employed by Camber Corporation of Huntsville serving the Apache Program Managers office as an Apache Maintenance Operations Subject Matter Expert. He and his wife established the sponsorship of an orphanage in Germany in 1988 that continues today. They have also been foster parents to 36 children throughout their marriage. Survivors include his wife, Julie, of Ardmore, AL; a son, Adam Trammell of Ft. Hood, TX; daughters, Shawana Wylie of Virginia, Heather Wylie of North Carolina, Leslie Dehaye of Ardmore, AL, Eve Grissom of Taylor, MI, and Melanie Jimison of Virginia; one brother, Bob Wylie of North Carolina; two sisters, Terri Ann and Dana, both of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren. |
