Tigers end sandlot season too soon

The hopes of a baseball playoff berth were ended last week when the Madison County Tigers stopped the Ardmore Tigers twice. The Tigers had a rough week being shut-out at Richland Monday 17-0 and then falling to Madison County 7-0 at home on Tuesday and then 6-2 at Gurley on Thursday. With the losses the season ends.

If Ardmore had split with Madison County it would have forced a playoff between Madison County, East Limestone and Ardmore to see which two teams would advance to represent the area.
