Renaissance Faire Set For This Weekend In Ardmore
In what has become a much-anticipated Ardmore tradition, the Third Annual Ardmore Renaissance Faire will be held this weekend, Saturday, April 22 and Sunday April 23. This year's event will take place in the Alabama Park in Ardmore, AL and is sponsored by the Ardmore, AL/TN Chamber of Commerce.

Ardmore's Masons Presented With Flag
Members of the Ardmore Masonic Lodge received a rare gift last week as the Heroes of '76 presented the local lodge with a U.S. Flag that had once flown over the United States Capitol.
FNB Donates To Library's Summer Reading Program
Ardmore Public Library's 2006 Summer Reading Program got a boost last Friday when representatives from First National Bank appeared at the facility to make a donation.

City Okays Land Purchase
The City of Ardmore, TN Board of Mayor and Aldermen, meeting in a special called session last Thursday night, approved by a vote of 4-3 the purchase of two additional tracts of land on Main Street.


Ardmore Tigers Lose In Extra-Innings To Wildcats
Ardmore High School's Varsity Baseball Team made the trek to Clements last Saturday to participate in the Limestone County Varsity Baseball Tournament. The Tigers took the field at noon and, despite a solid mound performance by southpaw Clay Wales, Ardmore eventually lost to West Limestone 4-3 in eight innings.
Lauren Graviet Will Cheer For Alabama Crimson Tide
Ardmore High School senior Lauren Graviet knew the competition would be tough going into last week's selection process for members of the 2006-2007 University of Alabama Cheerleading Squad.
Blanche Gridiron Club To Meet Tuesday, April 25
The Blanche Gridiron Club will hold a meeting in the school gym on Tuesday, April 25. The meeting will take place at 7 PM.

Lady Tigers Drop Area Games
The Varsity Lady Tigers Softball Team picked up a county win last week before dropping two area games. Ardmore shut out the visiting Tanner Lady Rattlers 3-0 on Monday. Area rival East Limestone, defeated the Lady Tigers 1-0 on Tuesday, scoring one run off of two hits in the top of the sixth inning. On Thursday, Ardmore traveled to Lawrence County to drop a 2-1 game in Area play.

Tigers Notch Big Win Over Tanner Rattlers
Ardmore saved what was perhaps its best game of the 2006 baseball season for the right moment last Thursday. Limestone County's top team, the Tanner Rattlers, came calling for a makeup game with the Tigers and, when the dust finally settled, the Tigers scored an impressive 8-3 win.

JV Lady Tigers Split Games
The Junior Varsity Lady Tigers Softball Team picked up two wins last week against Tanner and Lawrence County. Ardmore picked up one loss to East Limestone. Ardmore pounded out nine hits on Monday, as they shut out the visiting Tanner Lady Rattlers 15-0. The visiting East Limestone Lady Indians defeated the Lady Tigers 5-2 on Tuesday, as the Lady Tigers made several crucial errors. On Thursday, Ardmore traveled to Lawrence County to pick up an 8-1 victory.

Talkin' Baseball
Well, it's barely past the April tax deadline and New York baseball fans are already in a tizzy about another possible "Subway Series" between the Yankees and the Mets. Last time that happened was in 2000 and, if fans in the Big Apple have their way, the rest of the country will get to sit back in October and watch as the Bronx Bombers and the New York Metropolitan Baseball Club go at it.
