This week's Passing Parade is about a play at Liberty School presented by Miss Virginia Kelso, our teacher. The play was "Silver Sandals". Those in the picture are Ted Duke, Elzie Brooks, Juell Locker and Frankie Locker. Dallas Williams was also in the play. Elzie Brooks and Juell Locker were the King and Queen. Josephine Jones was her helper.

I am real sick and the doctors seem to say the prostate cancer will completely take over. The green grass of Stewart Cemetery may enclose me. I have gotten so many cards from many people I did not know. Some people state they hope Liberty News will continue.

I used to go to the Civil War programs at Molino with David Milam. One day we met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Davy Smith and she had the best dessert ever. The president of the Confederacy meeting, Ron Warren, wrote me and he may come to my SAR program. He said he liked the SAR picture of Leland Gray's SAR program.

Bro. Ben Rutledge, minister of Stoney Point Church of Christ, will be in New York for a family celebration.

I wrote for the Nashville Banner from 1948 to 1962. Then I started writing for local papers.

Elzie Brooks of "Silver Sandals" looked after my mother and me. We still have great Christians. Where there is a will, there is a way.
