The Junior Varsity Lady Tigers Softball Team picked up two wins last week against Tanner and Lawrence County. Ardmore picked up one loss to East Limestone. Ardmore pounded out nine hits on Monday, as they shut out the visiting Tanner Lady Rattlers 15-0. The visiting East Limestone Lady Indians defeated the Lady Tigers 5-2 on Tuesday, as the Lady Tigers made several crucial errors. On Thursday, Ardmore traveled to Lawrence County to pick up an 8-1 victory.

The Lady Tigers shut out the Lady Rattlers 15-0 on Monday, after the game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning, due to the run limit. Ardmore played very impressive offense and defense as they overpowered Tanner. The Lady Tigers rounded up nine big hits, and played errorless defense. Kelsey Gilbert pitched a no-hitter for the Lady Tigers, as she struck out ten batters and walked two.
Brittney Brown led the Lady Tigers in hits with a single and a triple, while Krystal Thornton picked up two singles. Brittney Miles hit a triple for Ardmore, as Nikki Clark, Kelsey Turner, Cherri Berry, and Callie Bryant each added a single.
East Limestone 6
Ardmore 0
Errors were crucial in the Lady Tigers loss to county opponent East Limestone. Ardmore made two errors in the top of the fourth inning, to allow East to take a 2-0 lead. The Lady Tigers rallied in the bottom of the inning, after pounding out three hits, to tie the game 2-2. Nikki Clark led off for Ardmore, with a single and later scored on a bunt by Kelsey Gilbert. Courtesy runner, Emily Faulkner, later scored when Megan Honea hit the ball to second base, and was thrown out at first.
Ardmore made three more errors in the top of the fifth inning, as well as giving up two hits, to give East a 5-2 lead. The Lady Tigers were unable to gain control of the game, falling 5-2 to East Limestone.
Nikki Clark, Kelsey Gilbert, and Cherri Berry led Ardmore in hits, with a single each. Gilbert took the pitching loss for Ardmore, striking out nine batters, walking one, and permitting three hits.

Lawrence County 1
The Lady Tigers took an early lead over Lawrence County, as they jumped ahead 1-0 in the first inning. Brittney Brown hit a double and scored when Megan Brown flied out to second base.
Lawrence County tied the game in the bottom of the third inning, just before Ardmore scored three runs in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead. Megan Brown got on base by a fielder's choice and scored on a single hit by Kelsey Turner. Turner later scored on a single hit by Megan Honea. Kelsey Gilbert reached base on an error and courtesy runner, Callie Bryant, later scored.
Ardmore picked up four more hits in the top of the fifth inning. Krystal Thornton led off for Ardmore, reaching base on an error, followed by a single from Brittney Brown. Both runners scored on a single hit by Megan Brown. Kelsey Gilbert reached base on a walk, as courtesy runner, Callie Bryant, and Brown both scored when Nikki Clark reached base on an error.
The Lady Tigers played impressive defense in the last two innings, as Gilbert struck out five of six batters. Ardmore brought home an 8-1 victory. Gilbert took the pitching win for Ardmore, as she pitched a no-hitter, striking out eight batters, and walking two. Megan Honea served as catcher.
