Lincoln County Executive And Sheriff’s Office On Ballot

As the August 3 election draws closer, voters in Lincoln County are becoming more interested in the field of candidates. Among the major offices up for grabs in this year’s election are the County Executive and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Incumbent County Executive Jerry Mansfield is being challenged by two opponents including Dick Farrar and Tommy Halcomb.

In the race for Lincoln County Sheriff, incumbent Jimmy Mullins will face a field of three challengers. Throwing their hats into the ring for the Sheriff’s race are Mary Ann Myers-Schuck, Murray Blackwelder and Charles Felder. According to election officials, Craig Bledsoe obtained papers for the election, but did not qualify.

Early voting for the election will be held July 14-29. The Lincoln County Election Board, located in the Ralph Hasting Building on Davidson Drive in Fayetteville, will be open from 8 AM until 5 PM each weekday during early voting.
