Cecil Milton Smith

Cecil Milton Smith, 85, of Tut-Fann Veterans Home, Huntsville, AL, died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Tut-Fann Veterans Home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Brister, Rev. William Suddarth and Rev. Billy Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Cecil Milton Smith was born May 2, 1920 in Ardmore, AL, to Floyd Wayne Smith and Effie Hicklen Smith. He lived all his life in this area. He was a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church and a Veteran of World War II having served in the Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie Bailey Smith; a brother, T.C. Smith; a sister, Irene Hargrove; and a grandson, Bernie Hicklen.

Survivors include his wife, Eris Smith of Cash Point, TN; one son, Gearil (Nellie) Smith of Ardmore, AL; daughter Shirley (Jim) Phillips of Ardmore, AL; granddaughter-in-law, Vickie Hicklen Eaves of Ardmore, AL; two brothers, Robert Smith and Kayo Smith, both of Ardmore, AL; one sister, Mary Fogg of Ardmore, AL; two grandchildren, Tim (Cathy) Smith and Kim (Butch) Sutton; two great-grandchildren, Kyle Smith and Kristen Gatlin; two step-great-granddaughters, Betsy and Catherine Taylor.

Pallbearers were nephews.


Donald Anderson

Donald Anderson, 96, of Alsup Road, Prospect, TN, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Hillside Hospital, Pulaski, TN.

Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery in Prospect, TN, with Bro. Wade West officiating. Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Donald Anderson was born December 12, 1909 to Archie and Nannie Jones Anderson in Berea, KY. He lived in this area for 25 years coming from Richmond, IN. He was retired from Fireproof Doors and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Apostolic Church on Thach Road. He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Ruby Jean and Cora.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Anderson of Prospect, TN; sons, Carlos Anderson of Wisconsin, Edd Anderson of California, Earl Anderson of Ohio, Amos Anderson of Louisiana and Ronnie Anderson of California; daughters, Della Grumbling of Ohio, Ruth Jack of Indiana and Betty Beasley of Texas; brothers, Archy Anderson of Florida and Wolford Anderson of Indiana; sisters, Nannie, Martha, Eulla and Addie Holt all of Indiana; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Phillip McClure, Darrell McClure, Jennifer Norwood, Eugene Smith, Clay McClure and Edd Grumbling.


Julian Kerry Donald Vinet

Julian Kerry Donald Vinet, 53, of 169 Ryland Pike Road, died Friday, April 21, 2006, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 24, at 10 a.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Colwell and Shawn Faulk officiating. Burial was in the Elliott Cemetery in Ardmore, TN with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
