The Junior Varsity Lady Tigers Softball Team split two games last week in season play. Ardmore dropped a close 1-0 game to Athens Bible School at home on Monday. The Lady Tigers came from behind on Tuesday, to defeat the East Lawrence Lady Eagles 6-2.

The Lady Tigers fell 1-0 to the visiting Athens Bible School Lady Trojans, on Monday. Athens Bible picked up their only run in the top of the third inning, when a batter reached base on an error and later scored.
Ardmore was only able to pull through with two hits in the game, as Kelsey Turner and Megan Honea each hit a single. Kelsey Gilbert took the pitching loss for Ardmore, striking out four batters, walking one, and permitting three hits. Callie Steadman was the catcher.

East Lawrence 2
The Lady Tigers trailed 2-0 at the end of the third inning, against East Lawrence. Ardmore gave up two hits, as well as three errors, to allow East Lawrence to take the lead. The Lady Tigers continued to battle back, but without success in the first three innings.
The Lady Tigers rallied in the bottom of the fourth inning, to come within one point of the lead. Krystal Thornton led off for Ardmore, reaching base on an error. Thornton stole her way around the bases, before scoring on a passed ball at home. The Lady Tigers trailed 2-1 at the end of the inning.
In the bottom of the fifth inning of play, Ardmore pounded out three hits, to come from behind to take the victory. Cherry Berry led off for Ardmore with a triple and later scored when Nikki Clark bunted the ball. Clark then scored on a passed ball at home. Megan Brown reached base on an error and scored on a fielder’s choice, forced by Krystal Thornton. Thornton then scored on a passed ball at home. Kelsey Turner reached base on a walk and scored when Candace Mills hit a single to deep left field, before the inning ended.
East Lawrence was unable to score in the top of the sixth inning, as Ardmore took a 6-2 win over the visiting Lady Eagles.
