Thomas Sterling Brownlow Thomas Sterling Brownlow, 91, of Pulaski, TN, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at NHC of Pulaski. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 1, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Bennett-May Giles County Funeral Home. Burial was in the Stella Cemetery. Mr. Brownlow was a retired farmer, bus driver for the Giles County School System and a member of the Stella Presbyterian Church of Pulaski. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Blanche Sparks Brownlow; his parents, James Erskine and Harriet Rose Reagin Brownlow; two sisters, Irma Ruth Brownlow Gardner and Mary Emma Brownlow Kerr. Survivors include his nieces, Glenda Gooch and husband Frank of Stella, Sandra Brewer of Pulaski, Marilyn Hare of Peachtree City, GA, Mary Jo Walker and husband Johnny of Memphis; nephews, Kenneth Gardner and wife Ruth Carolynn of Prospect, and Steven Gardner and wife Mary Ann of Houston, TX; and many great nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Stella Cemetery Fund in care of Sandra Parsons, 2835 Hagan Road, Minor Hill, TN 38473. Robert Douglas Wheeler Robert Douglas Wheeler, 84, of Tigard, OR, formerly of Pulaski, TN, died December 30, 2006, in Portland, OR. A memorial graveside service was held Saturday, April 28, at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski with Debbie Eubanks officiating. Mr. Wheeler was employed at Tigard Costco as a general contractor in Oregon. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy, attaining the rank of Coxswain and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelline (Mickie) Donais Wheeler; parents, Charles and Lizzie Allen Wheeler; sisters, Rachel Wheeler Stogner and Mary Jo Wheeler Kelly; and a brother, James Wheeler. Survivors include daughters, Linda Roulier-Roger of Texas, Cheryl Atherly of Oregon, Karen Wheeler of Hawaii; sons, Michael Wheeler of California and Rob Wheeler of Oregon; five grandchildren, Kirsten, Sean, Derek, Ryan and Miles; two great-grandchildren; nieces, Carolyn Humphrey, Kay Joiner, Susan Stogner, and Sandra Horne; nephews, Preston Stogner, Jerry Wheeler, Terry Wheeler, Ronald Lee Stogner; and many friends. Memorials may be made to the Minor Hill Methodist Church, c/o Debbie Eubanks or to the Paralyzed Veterans of America. |
