Joint Ardmore Councils Explore E-911 Problems
Members of the Joint Council of the City of Ardmore, TN Board of Mayor and Aldermen and the Town of Ardmore, AL Mayor and Town Council met in a special work session on Monday night, May 1. The purpose of the meeting was an attempt to find answers to ongoing problems the town and city faces in connecting with the E-911 system.

First American Bank Ardmore Branch Celebrates Customer Appreciation Day
Residents of the Ardmore community were feted to a great meal featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks last Friday as First American Bank held its annual Customer Appreciation Day.This year’s event was particularly special as it was part of the bank’s 10th Anniversary of being in Ardmore.

Junior Varsity Lady Tigers Win County Championship
The Junior Varsity Lady Tigers Softball Team swept through the county tournament last weekend at Elkmont. Ardmore defeated West Limestone 5-0 on Friday night, and picked up a 10-2 victory over the home standing Elkmont Lady Devils on Monday.
Ardmore Quarterback Club News
The Ardmore Quarterback Club will hold its next monthly meeting Thursday evening, May 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the field house. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Talkin' Baseball
Well fans, we are one month into the 2006 season and, to say the least, things have been interesting. Barry Bonds, sans steroids, is closing in on Babe Ruth and a Federal perjury probe is closing in on Bonds. Albert Pujols set a record by hitting 14 homers in April, Greg Maddux has started the season with a 5-0 record and the Yankees, despite being in first place, are the subject of much hand wringing and gnashing of teeth.
