Police Memorial Day Slated For May 16th
Area residents are invited to the annual Police Memorial Day ceremony, to be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 10 AM. The ceremony, which pays tribute to police officers, both active and retired, as well as those who have fallen in the line of duty, will take place at the Ardmore Police Department.

An enthusiastic crowd of supporters gathered on the evening of Tuesday, May 1 for the annual Ardmore, AL/TN Chamber of Commerce Banquet. The event, in which the Chamber honors various businesses and individuals, was held in the City of Ardmore, TN City Hall Annex.

Wales Retires After 29 Years Of Service
A large crowd of grateful citizens gathered on the afternoon of Sunday, May 6 to pay honor to a much-loved and highly respected member of the Ardmore Community. The ceremony, held in the First National Bank Community Room, was in celebration of the retirement of Water Department Supervisor Billy Wales.

Coach Malone Reflects On Last Season; Looks To The Future

When Head Coach Tracy Malone signed on to lead the Tigers into the 2006 gridiron season, he knew he faced a formidable challenge. Ardmore was coming off a disastrous 2005 season, which saw the Tigers plummet to a 0-10 record. As last season commenced, Malone was cautiously optimistic, but didn’t know for certain how the Tigers would stack up against an imposing schedule.

Ardmore Crowned Area 14, 4-A Champs
Ardmore and North Jackson met at Ardmore High School to determine who would advance to the next round of the AHSAA Softball Playoffs. The Lady Tigers earned the right to host the Lady Chiefs after capturing the Area 14-4A championship on Saturday. It took three games with East Limestone to determine a winner.
Junior Lady Tigers close season with a win
The Ardmore Junior Lady Tiger softball completed their regular season with an 8-4 win at Huntsville last Monday.
Huntsville hands Ardmore a loss
The Lady Panthers of Huntsville, Alabama scored three runs in the third inning and three in the sixth inning last Monday to blank Ardmore 6-0.
Six Lady Tigers on all-county team
Ardmore was well represented on the Coaches All Limestone County Junior Softball Team. Six Lady Tigers were included when that team was announced.
ABS Trojans advance to semifinals
The Athens Bible School Trojans remains alive in the AHSAA Baseball Playoffs after wining the best of three series at Covenant Christian Saturday,

The futility of the Kansas City Royals has become as predictable as a Yellowstone geyser. As April has given way to May, the Royals are once again ensconced in last place in the American League Central and manager Buddy Bell is wondering why he was foolish enough to take over the reins of this franchise that has become so accustomed to losing that local fans consider a 100-loss season a modest success.
