There will be one more Story Time Program for preschoolers this school year on May 9, which will be a Mother’s Day Program and an “End of School Year” Party. A new couple to the community, Fred and Sterrla, will help read to the children. A craft and refreshments will be provided. Then Story Time will resume on September 5 after school starts back.

This summer there will be a summer reading program on June 13, June 20, June 27, and July 11 at 10 a.m. for children ages 12 and under. The theme is “The rompin’ stompin’ reading roundup.” There have already been around 20 children that have already signed up for the event. The average age for signup so far as been 6. So come by or call the library to sign up for the program and to get a free book.

The Friends of the Library will have a meeting on May 9 at 1 p.m. They will be planning their yearly garden tour. Tickets will go on sale soon for the June tour. If you are interested in joining the Friends, the yearly fee is $5. The Friends is a non-profit organization that joins together in an effort to raise funds for the Ardmore Public Library while having enrichment programs for the Ardmore community.

Monday Night Chess will be cancelled during the summer months.
