Athens-Limestone Celebrates National Hospital Week May 6-12

In Celebration of National Hospital Week (May 6-12) Athens-Limestone Hospital is hosting “The Health Fair Around the Square” on Friday, May 11. Hours of this special event will be from 9 AM until noon.

Stations will be set up on both the north and south sides of the square offering health screenings and giveaways. Life South will also hold a blood drive at the First Presbyterian Church from 9 AM until 1 PM.

May is also Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month. Athens-Limestone Hospital is doing its part to make skin screenings as convenient as possible. To coincide with Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, the hospital and dermatologist Dr. Stephen Mallette will offer free skin cancer screenings from 9AM until 1 PM.

The screenings will take place at the Waddell Center, located at 902 West Washington Street.
