Ardmore’s Lady Tigers The Ardmore Lady Tigers stopped visiting North Jackson 1-0 and 11-1 in a pair of sub-state games at Ardmore High School. Ardmore 11, North Jackson 1 Aarika Boggs threw a 4-hitter Tuesday when Ardmore defeated North Jackson 11-1 in sub-state action. Casey Steadman led the winners at the plate with a single and two doubles as Callie Steadman hit a double and single and Kelsey Turner two singles. Boggs hit a double while Ratley, Mills and Amber Wise got singles. Ardmore pushed across three runs in the first, four in the second and four in the fourth. Boggs and the Steadman sisters scored in the opening frame. Boggs got life on an infield error followed by a double from Casey Steadman. Callie Steadman’s single drove in Boggs. Casey Steadman scored on Brittany Miles’ sacrifice while Turner’s single drove in Callie Steadman. In the third Casey Steadman and Jennifer Ratley hit consecutive singles. Casey Steadman scored on Callie Steadman’s sacrifice. Miles hit a double to drive in Callie Steadman. After North Jackson scored a run in the third, Ardmore scored four times in the fourth. Boggs and Casey Steadman hit back-to-back doubles, Jennifer Ratley walked and Callie Steadman hit a double. All four Lady Tigers scored. They had help from Candice Mills and Kelsey Turner who each hit a single. Ardmore 1, North Jackson 0 Casey Steadman’s first inning was enough to defeat the visiting Lady Chiefs from North Jackson 1-0 last Tuesday in Ardmore. North Jackson’s Tabitha Maynor limited Ardmore to just two hits. Kelsey Turner had a single for the Lady Tigers. Steadman threw a 3-hitter, allowing a single in the second and a pair of singles in the third. The visitors made one fielding error. |
