Benefit Slated For Brittany Hastings This Weekend
A benefit is planned for Friday and Saturday, May 19 and 20 for Brittany Hastings, daughter of Charlie and Renee Hastings, owners of City Café in Ardmore, AL. Critically injured in an automobile accident April 10th, the teen remains hospitalized.
Ardmore’s Spring Band Concert Slated Thurs., May 18
Area residents are once again in for a special treat as the Ardmore High School Band will present its annual Spring Concert tomorrow night, Thursday, May 18. The event will be held in the gymnasium at 7 PM.

Tuckers Win National Young Farmer Award
John Lamar “J” Tucker III, and his wife Betsy, won more than accolades in the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBFF) 2006 Outstanding Young Farmer and Rancher Achievement Awards Ceremony. They also took home a new DX33 Farmall tractor and a Farmall pedal tractor, provided by Case IH, an Achievement Award sponsor.

Ardmore Civitan Supports Library Summer ‘06 Reading Program
The Ardmore, AL/TN Civitan recently made a donation to the Ardmore Public Library to help support the Summer Reading Program. Librarian Verlin Collins has been assisted by Civitan members in planning this year’s activities. The Summer Reading Program will begin Wednesday, June 21, at 10 a.m. Registration is now in progress at the library.

Ardmore Welcomes New Head Football Coach Tracy Malone
A large and enthusiastic crowd turned out last Friday evening to meet new Ardmore High School Head Football Coach Tracy Malone. Malone, who succeeds outgoing Coach Ken Adams, was on hand for the event, along with his family and members of the 2006-2007 Tiger Football Team.

Lady Tigers Fall In Second Round of Sub-state
The Varsity Lady Tigers Softball Team hosted the first round of Sub-state last Tuesday and Thursday facing Madison County in a best out of three series. Ardmore defeated Madison County 3-1 in the first game, but fell 2-0 in the second. Due to a rain delay the Lady Tigers played Madison County for the third time on Thursday, picking up an outstanding 10-2 win, racking up eleven hits. Ardmore continued to play impressive defense in the playoffs, as they only made one error in the series.
Black And Gold Game Slated Friday Night
New Ardmore High School Head Football Coach Tracy Malone has announced the annual Black and Gold Football Game will be held at Cooper Field this Friday, May 19.
Tiger Basketball Looks Toward Season
Tiger Head Basketball Coach Mike Sanderson has had a busy month, holding spring tryouts and scheduling summer activities for the Ardmore High School Boys’ Basketball Teams.
Tiger Basketball Camp Set For June 19-22
Ardmore High School Head Basketball Coach Mike Sanderson has announced that this year’s Tiger Basketball Camp for Boys will be held June 19-22. The Tiger Basketball Camp is a popular summer activity and has gained a reputation as being highly instructive, stressing the fundamentals of the game of basketball, and a positive experience, emphasizing the importance of developing a love for the game as well as teamwork and cooperation.
