Limestone County Sets Graduation Ceremonies
Believe it or not, it is that time of year again. Seniors at all Limestone County schools, as well as their families, are busily preparing for the end of the school year and commencement ceremonies.
Summer School 2007 Set
Pre-registration for Limestone County summer school will be on May 31st from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Students may also register the morning of June 1, but any time spent registering on Friday will be deducted from the eight hours they are allowed to miss during summer school.
Police Reserve BBQ Set
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 26th! Area residents who desire great barbecue chicken will once again have the opportunity to have a delicious meal while, at the same time, give support to a most worthy cause.

Union Hill Youths Drilled To Perfection
Four members of Union Hill Baptist Church competed in this year’s Baptist Association Drill Competition. Amber, Rachel and Caleb Williams, as well as Jessica Riddle represented Union Hill Baptist Church in Bible drill competitions recently.

Gold Edges Black In Pigskin Cliffhanger
Interested fans and the student body of Ardmore High School filled the stands at Cooper Field last Friday afternoon, hoping to get a preview of the Tigers’ talent level for 2007. In the annual Black and Gold scrimmage, those in attendance not only got that preview, but were treated to a great inter-squad game as well.
UT Martin Names Local Students To Spring Semester Dean’s List
The outstanding academic achievements of undergraduate students at the University of Tennessee at Martin have been honored with publication of the Spring 2007 Dean’s Lists for the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, College of Business and Public Affairs, College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the College of Humanities and Fine Arts.
Blanche School Will Install Stadium Seats
The Jim Cooper Field at Blanche School will have a new look in the near future. The bleachers will be replaced with stadium chairs.
Talkin’ Baseball
It is only the third week in May, but pundits everywhere are already writing off the Yankees in 2007. Mired deep in the American League East and already 10 games back in the standings, it may be that these baseball experts are right.
