Ellen Mae Clem Ellen Mae Clem, 80, of Oak Grove Road, Athens, AL, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, at 2 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Sharp, Bro. Jerry Smith and Joe Young officiating. Burial was in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Ellen Mae was born February 23, 1926 in Madison County, AL, to William Perry Young and Lillian Mae Chasteen Young. She lived all her life in North Alabama. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Clem was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband, Charles “Billy” Clem of Athens, AL; one son, Mark Clem of Elkmont, AL; one daughter, Ann Martin of Athens, AL; one brother, Joe Young of Colorado; two sisters, Joyce Byrom of Georgia and Elsie Stevens of Texas; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Scott Wilson, Bobby Young, Jason Martin, Justin Martin, Kenneth Young and Dickey Cantrell. Kenneth Ray Jones Kenneth Ray Jones, 66, of Ardmore Highway, Taft, TN, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 1, at 6 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Blanche Cemetery in Blanche, TN with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Kenneth Ray Jones was born in Taft, TN, on November 3, 1939, to Shelton Jones and Naomi Ferguson Jones. He lived all his life in the Taft, TN, area and was a member of Taft Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cathy Jones. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jones of Taft, TN; one son, Kenneth Blake Jones of Danville, VA; one daughter, Samantha Downs of Taft, TN; one sister, Dorothy Vernon of Shelbyville, TN; and two grandchildren. Bobby Ruth Minor Bobby Ruth Minor, 75, of U-Take-It Road, Ardmore, TN, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Lincoln Medical Center, Fayetteville, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating. Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bobby Ruth Minor was born November 14, 1930 in Ardmore, TN, to Earl Minor and Irene Hargrove Minor. He was a merchant seaman for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one son, Morris (Nora Ann) Minor of Rowlett, TX; several aunts and uncles; three grandchildren, Jake, Travis and Natalie Minor. Gale Sue Mitchell McKinley Gale Sue Mitchell McKinley, 48, of Putman Circle, Elkmont, AL, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Nave officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Gale Sue was born January 27, 1958 to Frank Henry Mitchell, Sr. and Freda Dihel Mitchell in Elgin, IL. She moved to this area when she was very young a lived her the rest of her life. Gale was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Jessie Mitchell. Survivors include her father, Frank Mitchell, Sr. of Athens, AL; sons, Joseph McKinley of Ardmore, AL, George McKinley of Huntsville, AL, and Jeremiah McKinley of Ardmore, AL; boyfriend, Barry Miller of Elkmont, AL; one daughter, Layla Wisenski of Elkmont, AL; brothers, Frankie Mitchell, Jr. of Elkmont, AL, Joe Mitchell of Ardmore, AL, and Jerry Mitchell of Elkmont, AL; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Larry Payne Jr., Chris Smith, Jeremy Mitchell, Tony Biase, Dean Biase, and Michael Biase. Sally B. Russell Sally B. Russell, 89, died Friday, May 26, 2006. Funeral were held Sunday, May 28, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Gardens with Bro. George Dudley officiating. Burial was in the Limestone Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Russell was born September 26, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Russell. Survivors include daughters, Sandra Curnutt, Jewel Reid and Christine Dunnavant; sons, Van Russell, J.W. Russell, Thomas Russell, John (Bo) Russell, and Ed Russell; sister, Elizabeth Tallent; 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Danny Curnutt, Jeffery Collier, Tim Russell, Nathan Dunnavant, Royce Russell, and Mike Russell. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Russell, Burt Rowan, Timothy Russell, Dean Curnutt, Stephen Dunnavant, and Jackie Curnutt. |
