James Moon Announces Candidacy For Tennessee House Of Representatives
James P. (Jim) Moon, a native of Marshall County, has announced his candidacy as a Republican for the Tennessee House of Representatives from the 65th District, consisting of Marshall and Giles Counties.


Board Approves New City Hall Project
The City of Ardmore, TN Board of Mayor and Aldermen ended several months of internal bickering by approving a motion to proceed on constructing a new City Hall on land recently purchased along Main Street. The action came at the scheduled meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Thursday, June 1.


Town To Begin Sewer Renovation Project
The Town of Ardmore, AL Mayor and Town Council, meeting in scheduled session on Monday, June 12, voted unanimously to authorize work to begin on a $387,000 sewer system renovation project.


Coach Sanderson’s Tiger Basketball Camp For Boys Starts Next Week
Ardmore High School Head Basketball Coach Mike Sanderson has announced that this year’s Tiger Basketball Camp for Boys will be held next week, beginning Monday, June 19 and running through Thursday, June 22.


Tigers Win Big At UAH Basketball Camp
Ardmore High School’s Varsity Basketball Team participated in the annual UAH Summer Basketball Camp last week and, by all accounts, played much better than expected. After losing their first game to Westminster, the Tigers came to back to win seven games in a row, finishing the camp with an impressive 7-1 mark.


MMC’s Cleary Published In Coaching Magazine
Martin Methodist College Women’s Soccer Coach Gerry Cleary will have a coaching session published in the upcoming July/August edition of the bi-monthly magazine “World Class Coaching”.


Talkin' Baseball
Just about a year ago, former Royals manager Tony Pena put his ear to the ground and clearly heard the bus coming. Kansas City was off to the worst start in the club’s history, what little talent the Royals possessed was just traded away, and both ownership and the local press starting looking around for someone to blame. Under the circumstances, Pena did what any reasonable man would do.
