Kenneth Boyd Hodges Kenneth Boyd Hodges, 64, of Thach Road, Elkmont, AL, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Elkmont. Funeral services were held Friday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Witty officiating. Burial was in the Sylone Cemetery in Elkmont with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Kenneth Boyd Hodges was born December 12, 1941 in Limestone County, AL, to Elton Elbert Hodges and Evvie Mae Boyd Hodges. He lived all his life in the Ardmore-Elkmont area. A member of the Holland’s Gin Church of Christ, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn Hodges. Survivors include one son, Stanley Hodges of Huntsville, AL; one daughter, Annie Hodges Ullery of Falkville, AL; one brother, Marion Hodges of Athens, AL; one sister, Doris Harper of Martin, TN; five grandchildren, Braeden and Nikki Hodges, Daniel, Meggan and Colby Ullery. Pallbearers were Cecil Clem, Roger Hodges, Danny Holland, Mike Hodges, Daniel Ullery and Steve Garner. Barbara Ann Harwell Barbara Ann Harwell, 63, of Ardmore, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services were held Friday, June 9, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Sammy Brister and William Suddarth officiating. Burial was in the Maplewood Cemetery with Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in charge. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ardmore. Mrs. Harwell was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Dell Holland Slayton; a brother, Calvin Slayton; and a sister, Betty Slayton Forrester. Survivors include her husband, Morris Clayton Harwell of Ardmore; daughter, Anita Harwell Sowell and husband Joe of Athens, AL; sons, Michael Harwell and wife Ginger of Elkmont, AL, and Chris Harwell and wife Kim of Lynnville, TN; sister, Pauline Slayton Rogers; brothers, Leo, Dale and Dock Slayton; and five grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ardmore Building Fund. |
