Limestone County Announces
Pre-Kindergarten Program

Limestone County School District will have a four-year-old Pre-School Program for the 2006-2007 school year. The program operates in collaboration with the Office of School Readiness (OSR) and is partially funded through a grant.

A fee will be charged to cover the remaining expenses. Eighteen four-year-old students will be accepted into this program, which will be held at Johnson Elementary School, and all four-year-old children residing in Limestone County are eligible to register. Transportation must be provided by the parent or guardian. After registration, 18 children will be selected through a random drawing and parents will be notified.

The pre-school will offer a full day program and a fun-filled educational environment for young children. Pre-kindergarten skills will be taught using age-appropriate Creative Curriculum based on exploration through a variety of learning centers. The daily schedule for the pre-school program will foster experiences that enhance the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of the child.
