Pauline Kinney Lamont

Pauline Kinney Lamont, 86, of Reyer Road, Ardmore, AL, died Sunday, June 25, 2006, at her daughter’s residence.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, AL, with Rev. Sammy Brister officiating. Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lamont was born on May 5, 1920, in Cortland, NY, to Charles and Lillian Kinney. She lived in Jacksonville, NY, until moving to Ardmore in 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter Lamont, and a son, Charles Stuart Lamont.

Survivors include three sons, Danny (Diane) Lamont of Toney, AL, David Lamont of Ithaca, NY, Raphael Lamont of Ardmore, TN; one daughter, Laurie (Bruce) Daly of Ardmore, AL; grandchildren, Megan (Jeff) Whitfield of Elkton, TN, Sean Daly and Tabitha Daly of Ardmore, AL; great-grandchildren, Marcus Whitfield, Matthew Whitfield, and Gavan Hollich; nephew, Arthur Kinney, and several other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Pallbearers will be family members.


Zela B. Mitchell

Zela B. Mitchell, 94, of Slaughter Pen Road, Ardmore, TN, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Suddarth and Rev. Derrick Moose officiating. Burial was in the Blanche Cemetery in Blanche, TN, with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Zela Mae Berryhill was born July 12, 1911, in Taft, TN, to Lev Henry Berryhill and Nettie Mae Stephens Berryhill. She lived all her life in this area and was a member of the Cash Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Mitchell; and a son, Thomas Ray “Buddy” Mitchell.

Survivors include one son, Aaron (Mildred) Mitchell of Ardmore, TN; two daughters, Polly Lee of Ardmore, TN, and Martha Ann (Kenneth) Walker of Whitebluff, TN; daughter-in-law, Joyce L. Mitchell of Taft, TN; one sister, Zana Massey of Taft, TN; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Mickey Walker, Rick Walker, Kenny Walker, Jerry Mitchell, Art Mitchell and Michael Gray. Honorary pallbearers were Roe and Corey Walker and Scott Workman.


Barry Lee Middleton

Barry Lee Middleton, 49, of Huntsville, AL, died Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.

Funeral services were held at Holy Cross Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church with Father Felix Miles officiating. Interment was at Faith Memorial.

Survivors include his partner, James Newman of Huntsville; three sisters, Stella Kilpatrick of Sulphur Springs, LA, Marie Carey Coddington of Huntsville, and Betty Louise Hawkins of Huntsville; brother, Frank Lewis Middleton of Huntsville; special friends, Vann Smith and Greg Brockway; numerous other friends and family.


Robbie Taylor Armstrong

Robbie Taylor Armstrong, 82, of Pulaski, TN, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at NHC of Pulaski.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 17, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Burial was in the Elkton Cemetery with Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Methodist Church and retired from Genesco. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Norton and Bettie Ann McDonald Taylor; and her husband, Clyde Ewing Armstrong. Survivors include her sons, Darrell Armstrong and wife Tracy of Pulaski, and Mike Armstrong and wife Rhonda of Pulaski; grandchildren, Cassie, Brittany, Toni Darra, Eric and Cody Armstrong of Pulaski; sister, Margaret Wooten of Pulaski; brothers, J.D. Taylor of Lewisburg, Robert Taylor and Grady Taylor of Pulaski.
