ABS Lady Trojans Finish Second In State

Athens Bible School Head Softball Coach Tony Andrews and the Lady Trojans entered the 2006 season with a burning desire to make it back to the state playoffs, where last season the team finished as runner up.

This season, ABS again put together a stellar campaign, going 36-18 and once again finishing second in the Class 1A State Tournament. The success of the Lady Trojans is a tribute to not only Andrews and his coaching staff, but to the hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence exhibited by the girls as well.

In 2006, Andrews had to make adjustments due to loss of players to graduation, transfers and other factors. Still, ABS was able to hit the ground running when the season began and never looked back.

Andrews is assisted by Tony Vining, Terry Chitham and Keith Hinkle.
