Pit Bulls Outlawed
The City of Ardmore, TN Board of Mayor and Aldermen, meeting in regular session on Thursday, July 6, unanimously passed a new city ordinance prohibiting the ownership of Pit Bull dogs within the city limits. In a separate but related matter, the board also passed an ordinance related to vicious dogs of all breeds.

City Explores Locating Medi-Vac Pad In Ardmore
Aware that the consistent growth and development in the Ardmore area is bringing in more residents and expanding the need for vital city services, City of Ardmore, TN Mayor Bobby Hastings has announced that he is actively pursuing the location of a Medi-Vac helicopter pad in the city.

Town of Ardmore Mayor Eugene Shannon broke with tradition on Monday night and decided to do things in a new and innovative way. Rather than appointing a new vice mayor, Shannon asked members of the council to vote in a secret ballot to select the new officer.

Limestone County Clean Up Crew Wins World Series Warm Up Title
The Limestone County Clean Up Crew, a nine-year-old baseball team, recently traveled to compete in the USSSA World Series Warm Up Tournament. The Clean Up Crew played outstanding baseball in both pool and tournament play and eventually won the 2006 tournament championship.

Second Place In State Tourney

The Limestone County All-Stars, a 12-year-old baseball team consisting of talented players from the county, finished second in the State Tournament, held last week in Jasper, Alabama.
