Henry A. White Seeks
AL House District 5 Seat

Henry A. White is seeking election to the Alabama House of Representatives District 5 seat. The election will be held on Tuesday, July 18.

White is a veteran of 35 years with Limestone County schools and has served as Superintendent of Limestone County from 1989-1993. In past years, he was basketball, football, and baseball coach at Tanner. Presently, White is principal at Reid Elementary School.

White is no stranger to public service, having served two terms on the Athens City Council. He has also been a member of the North Alabama Mental Health Board of Directors and the United Cerebral Palsy Board of Directors. White is also a member of the Tanner Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors.

White lists education, improved roads, new jobs, senior citizens’ needs and law enforcement as among his top priorities if elected.

Henry A. White

Born and raised in Limestone County, White is the son of the late Henry W. and Pearl White and has four brothers and three sisters. A 1967 graduate of Tanner High School, White earned his B.S. Degree from Florence State College and his M.Ed. from the University of Montevallo. In addition, White holds a Associate of Arts Degree in School Administration from the University of North Alabama.

White has been married to his wife Marsha for 33 years and they have two children and three grandchildren.

He also serves as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Tanner.
