Drucilla Fowler Barnett, 76, of Huntsville, AL, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 7, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Rev. Sherry Birney, Rev. Coy Hallmark and Rev. Don Cross officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.

Dru was born October 7, 1929 near Bethel and lived in Fayetteville, TN, and Huntsville. She was retired from Parisian and Tip Top Roofing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Bottom and Everett Fowler; husband, Aaron “Bud” Barnett and brothers, Everett, Elliott, Robert and Ray Fowler. She was a member of Piedmont Garden Club, the Deborah Circle, UMW at First United Methodist Church and Community Watch. She was a volunteer at the Huntsville Museum of Art Gift Shop and Huntsville Botanical Garden.

Survivors include daughter, Nancy Barnett Darnall and husband Bob; son, James Barry Barnett and wife Helen of Montgomery; grandsons, Bradley Kyle “Brad” Barnett and wife Bridgett DeRieux of Hoover and James Aaron “Jim” Barnett of Birmingham; granddaughter, Brianna Elizabeth Darnall of Huntsville; step-grandchildren, Stephen Ryan Darnall and wife Jamie Gray of Vail, CO, Alyssa Darnall Murray and husband John B., III of Breckinridge, Ann and David Thornton of Destin, FL, and Beth Kicker of Montgomery; three step-great-grandchildren, Emerald and John B. Murray, IV of Breckinridge and Maya Elena Darnall of Vail; siblings and their spouses, Van F. and Ralph Parkes of Fayetteville, Harold and Thelma Gwen Fowler of Tanner, James and Phyllis Fowler and Mickey Fowler of Bethel; special friend, Robert J. Jack Terrell Deen, 45, of Bethel Road, Elkmont, AL, died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL.

Charlotte Roe Mansell, 74, of 28568 Pettusville Road, Elkmont, AL, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at SunBridge Nursing Home in Ardmore, TN.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 11 at 2 p.m. at Pettusville Church of Christ with Steve Ferguson officiating. Burial was in the Hodges Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Mansell of Elkmont, AL and Tim Mansell of Elkmont, AL; two daughters, Jane Miller of Elkmont, AL, and Jenny Miller of Ardmore, AL; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lola Francis Scooley of Holly Springs, MS.

Pallbearers were Justin Kennedy, Tommy Moore, Donnie Dean, Lelus Walker, David Dunnavant, Jr. and Jamie Dawson. Honorary pallbearers were Reggie Holt, Ray Holt, Nelson Moore and Charlie Rich.

Dewey J. (Buddy) Wilburn, 77, of Huntsville, AL, died July 2, 2006, at his residence.

William Thomas Fogg, 87, of Highway 251, Ardmore, AL, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at his residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12, from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 13, at 3:00 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Boyles and Bro. Bill Chester officiating. Burial will be in the Hatchett Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

William Thomas Fogg was born August 18, 1918 in Limestone County, AL, to Raymond Fogg and Vanella Mae Fowler Fogg. He lived all his life in this area and was a member of the Wooley Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years and taught Sunday School. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ima Folds Fogg; daughter, Robbie Barnett; grandson, Rickey Michael; and brother, R.L. Fogg.

Survivors include son, Raymond (Sue) Fogg of Ardmore, AL; daughter, Dortha Michael of Ardmore, AL; brothers, Rudolph Fogg of Connecticut, Max Fogg of Indiana, Lavon Fogg of Elkmont, AL; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, great-grandchildren and spouses.

Mildred Lewter, 87, of 611 Market Street, Athens, AL, died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Athens Convalescent Center, Athens, AL.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 9, at 3 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore, AL, with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Lewter was born December 6, 1918, in Limestone County, AL. to Worl and Minnie Pearl Mitchell Hobbs. She lived all her life in this area and was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include daughters, Peggy Drake of Ardmore, AL, Brenda McGaha of Huntsville, AL, and Cathy Jones of Huntsville, AL; son, Jimmy Lewter of Ardmore, TN; brother, L.D. Hobbs of Nashville, TN; sister, Ruth Franklin of Ardmore, AL; grandchildren, Tina Stewart, Kennan Drake, Jeff Drake, Mitzi Casebolt, Felicia Lambert, Brad Wilson, Robin Smith, Richie Jones, Danny, Kevin and Michael Lewter; 18 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth L. Mealer, 68, of Prospect, TN, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.

Mr. Mealer was a retired Army Veteran retired from American Magotteaux.

Jimmie E. Barnes was born April 3, 1932 in Ardmore, TN, to George Henry Barnes and Olen Thornton Barnes. He was a Methodist and a heavy equipment mechanic for the U.S. Government. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianna, and a brother, Harry Barnes.

Hueston Douglas Clark was born May 6, 1942 in Toney, AL, to James Oliver Clark and Bessie Mirl Marberry Clark. He lived all his life in and around Madison County. He was preceded in death by his parents.
