We missed the rain Sunday, even though the clouds and thunder were close. Maybe next time.

Yes, we are enjoying corn, squash, tomatoes, fresh Irish potatoes, and cucumbers. Radishes, English peas and onions are already gone. The sunflowers are preparing to bloom, and the later sweet corn is tassling.

The children of Sonny and Jeanette Davis honored them by hosting a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration at the Oak Grove Clubhouse Sunday, July 9. Over 160 attended the gathering. Their children are Gay Lewter, Andy Davis, Kathy Britt, Harvey Davis, and Dana Davis.

W.T. Underwood is having some problems with a foot and is mostly house bound, while receiving treatment. He and his wife, Jesse, celebrated a wedding anniversary Monday.
