Frances Billings

Frances Billings, 68, of Old Railroad Bed Road, Taft, TN, (Lincoln County), died Friday, July 14, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 17, at 2 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Brister officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Frances Davis was born November 29, 1937, in Athens, AL, to Luther E. Davis, Sr. and Mary Etta Reeves Davis. She spent most of her life in Lemont, IL, before moving to Taft, TN in 1994. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Robert G. Billings, Sr.

Survivors include one son, Robert (Bobby) Billings, Jr. of Taft, TN; one daughter, Vickie (Mark Olinger) Landgren of Lockport, IL; one brother, Luther (PeeWee) Davis, Jr. of Romeoville, IL; one sister, Dolly Hargrove of Ardmore, TN; three grandchildren, Veronica Landgren, Charles (Chucky) Landgren, Jr., and Marissa Billings; and five great-grandchildren.


Arthur W. Sanders

Arthur W. Sanders, 79, of Goodrich, MI, died Saturday, June 24, 2006.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 29, at 11 a.m. a All Saints Episcopal Church in Pontiac, MI. Interment was in the Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, MI.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Sanders; children, Sue (Allen) Morris of Highland, MI, Yvonne (Newton) Skillman of Clarkston, MI Deborah (William) Pennala of Lake Orion, MI and Emerick Sanders of Waterford, MI; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Betty Richards of Carleton, MI, Peggy (Doyle) Caffey of Shelbyville, TN, Dorothy Sanders of Carleton, MI, Jay (Karen) Sanders of Memphis, TN, and Liz Shelton of Carleton.

Arthur was a veteran of WWII and retired from General Motors Fisher Body. He was an active member of the Pontiac-Waterford Elks #810 for many years.
