6th Annual Ardmore Fire & Rescue
Truck & Tractor Pull Held

The roar of straining engines could be heard last Friday and Saturday night as the Ardmore Fire Department held its annual Truck and Tractor pull. Competitors from all over the Southeast and even the Midwest displayed their tricked-out trucks and tractors and a large crowd turned out to cheer them on.

Rain interrupted the festivities on Friday night but the weather, although threatening at times, cooperated on Saturday night.

Festivities began at 7 PM both nights.

This year’s event was one of the best yet and featured a wide variety of powerful trucks and tractors. To the satisfaction of all present, this year’s pull included: 6,200 pound two-wheel drive trucks; 6,200 pound open four-wheel drive trucks; Pro Street four-wheel drive trucks; Pro Stock four-wheel drive trucks; 6,000 pound Super Stock tractors; 8,000 pound Super Stock tractors; Super farm tractors; and hot farm tractors.

Proceeds from the event go to support the Ardmore Fire Department.
